This is an intermediate environmental and highly responsible position requiring knowledge of the petroleum contamination cleanup provisions of Section 376 F.S., the administrative provisions of the PRP SOP manual and familiarity with the concepts and principles of contamination assessment and remediation, and evaluation of the technical aspects and costs associated therewith. The employee in this position reports to the Environmental Administrator and is responsible for oversight of the of the Division's ATC Contract (Agency Term Contract) portions of the Petroleum Cleanup Program's procurement of purchase orders for the assessment and remedial activities at petroleum contaminated sites. In carrying out the duties of the Environmental Specialist II position, the incumbent is expected at all times to be aware of and abide by the Department’s Standards of Conduct, as well as any and all departmental and/or work unit rules, directives, policies, procedures, and/or general orders applicable to performing the duties of this position.
