This is an open competitive opportunity for an ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST II with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Aquaculture. The position has regulatory responsibilities and requires occasional travel. The role involves determining proper monitoring programs, performing in situ measurements, collecting samples for analysis, and conducting computer modeling of environmental water quality parameters. The specialist will also prepare technical reports, conduct shoreline surveys, evaluate and maintain water quality monitoring technologies, and maintain office and field equipment. Additionally, the position requires attending meetings, assisting other districts statewide, and performing other related duties as assigned.
