Minnkota Power Cooperative is seeking qualified applicants for an Environmental Specialist/Engineer (II or III) at our headquarters in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Environmental Specialist/Engineer independently applies knowledge and skills in multiple environmental practice areas, which may include spill prevention, control and countermeasure, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and other ancillary environmental programs as assigned. The position is responsible for complex and varied program compliance activities, preparing regulatory reports, permitting and other duties. This position requires the skills and knowledge to engage and advise internal stakeholders on industry best practices and compliance obligations while evaluating and mitigating the environmental impacts of Minnkota’s commercial activities. The salary range for level II begins at $95,200 per year; level III salary range begins at $106,500. Appropriate pay will be determined based on candidate's skills, education, and previous relevant experience.
