About The Position
Housekeeping personnel are directly responsible for keeping the facility neat, clean, and tidy to inspection.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous healthcare or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Continuously cleans and maintains assigned areas
- Follows proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Works in a manner which provides a safe environment for self and others
- Routine daily, weekly and periodic cleaning or maintenance duties as directed
- Maintaining housekeeping equipment in good repair and in clean condition
- Assists in maintenance of instruments, supplies and equipment by proper cleaning, care and utilization as directed
- Remove trash and laundry
- Terminal cleaning
- Assist operating room team with cleaning and terminal cleaning
- Receive laundry and distribute
- Adheres to safety policies and practices good body mechanics and ergonomics
- Observes universal precautions
- Follows all rules and regulations for PHI and HIPAA protections of patient information
- Follows all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, attendance, timeliness, and safeguarding confidential information
- Reports incidents in a timely manner
- Promotes patient and employee safety and communicates concerns appropriately, following Chain of Command
- Attends in-service programs as requested
- Performs other related duties as directed
