About The Position

As an Environmental Services Worker, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Every day, you will expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, manage waste disposal, operate specialized equipment, and meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a dependable, conscientious demeanor, contributing significantly to a healthy and comfortable facility environment.

Responsibilities

• Consistently completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Informs supervisor immediately of circumstances that may result in an inability to complete assigned work.
• Meets annual competency requirements before evaluation date.
• Able to complete at least 75% of the tasks and duties that are defined in the Environmental Service Worker Job Tasks. (Attached) More than 75% exceeds standards for job knowledge.
• Demonstrates satisfactory attendance and reliability. Has fewer than 4 occurrences of absence or tardiness each year. Fewer than 4 occurrences exceeds the standards for attendance.
• Acquires knowledge relative to the healthcare Environmental Services field by attending all in-service sessions offered or by seeking out information from supervisors.
• Participates in meetings and contributes towards performance improvement efforts in the department and in the organization.
• Attains personal goals for performance improvement agreed upon in previous evaluations.
