About The Position

As an Environmental Services Worker, you will help maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will perform environmental services duties, including stocking restroom toiletries and providing and distributing clean linen supplies, in accordance with established standards and regulations.

This is a part-time evening-shift position at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center (CHMC). The listed base pay range is $18.48–$23.98, with an additional $5 per hour evening shift differential. Pay may be modified and is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related experience preferred.
• Valid New York State driver's license required.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to adapt to routine, repetitive manual tasks.
• Manual dexterity and motor coordination to operate equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to perform routine lifting of less than 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk for most of the shift, push, pull, lift, stoop, reach, and climb.
• Ability to work indoors with potential exposure to communicable diseases, chemicals, and hazardous waste.
