About The Position

The Environmental Services Worker cleans and services hospital building areas, moves furniture, equipment, and supplies, and performs environmental services duties to keep the hospital neat, safe, and sanitary. The role is full-time, night shift, at SageWest Health Care, which operates hospitals in Riverton and Lander, Wyoming.

Requirements

Read, write, and speak fluent English to comprehend instructions for cleaning materials.
Maintain good and regular attendance.
Have good interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent, including education equivalent to completion of secondary school, or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
Previous experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Select cleaning materials and supplies, prepare cleaning solutions, and load and transport a service cart to the work area.
Clean assigned areas, including walls, doors, tile, fixtures, patient TVs, and equipment, using germicidal cleaning solutions.
Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpet, and spot-clean carpet using appropriate solutions.
Clean restrooms, vanity areas, showers, and commodes; maintain sanitary, odor-free conditions; and replenish essentials.
Collect and remove trash, and sanitize garbage cans and the compactor area.
May collect and transport hazardous waste in a special closed container for sterilization before disposal.
May collect soiled linen and distribute clean linen.
Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops, and community affairs.
Return unused supplies to the janitor closet and keep supplies orderly.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
