About The Position

The Environmental Services Worker maintains a safe and sanitary environment for visitors, patients, and employees at Virtua Health. The role cleans and maintains facilities, handles trash and regulated medical waste, distributes linen, and may set up rooms or take on linen responsibilities as needed. The employee may be assigned to work at other facilities.

Requirements

• Ability to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain Virtua facilities as directed, including cleaning, removing trash, distributing linen, and setting up rooms.
• Maintain universal precautions to ensure patient and employee safety.
• Safely handle and dispose of regulated medical waste and other trash.
• Use chemicals properly and maintain a safe environment, including proper chemical storage.
• Assume linen responsibilities as required.
• Work in other facilities as assigned, when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
