Environmental Services Worker
About The Position
Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring an Environmental Services Worker for its Environmental Services Department at the Douglas Medical Center in Bolivar, Missouri. The position is full-time on the evening shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Environmental Services maintains a clean, safe environment for patients, employees, and visitors using prescribed methods in a professional and courteous manner. The worker cleans and sanitizes hospital areas according to the hospital’s 7 Step Process, uses appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures, reports necessary repairs to a supervisor, and cleans spills with appropriate equipment.
Requirements
- Preferred high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write documentation.
- Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Able to exert 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 lbs. frequently.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, operating rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.
- Sanitize all areas according to the hospital’s 7 Step Process.
- Use appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures.
- Notify the supervisor of necessary repairs.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
