About The Position

The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for cleaning and maintaining a facility to ensure cleanliness and sanitation. This is a seniority-based union position which reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Services Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment for the duration of the shift and complete multiple duties in a reasonable amount of time.
• A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered when competency in the role is demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, emptying dump carts, waste cans, etc.
• Empty, sort, and inventory various salvageable materials making it suitable for sale to outside vendors
• Use various chemicals while performing duties of cleaning sinks, commodes, urinals, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
