About The Position

As an Environmental Services Worker at Kendal at Ithaca, you will help maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, enjoyable, and dignified environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This full-time role provides housekeeping and floor care services throughout the community and calls for attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality service in support of the organization’s mission. The schedule varies according to community needs, with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on varied weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safely use cleaning agents.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or floor care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, spot cleaning, and laundry.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and carpet cleaners.
• Use cleaning agents safely and effectively throughout resident and community areas.
• Maintain floors and surfaces in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and interact with residents respectfully and compassionately.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized work environment in alignment with Kendal values.
