One California As our Environmental Services Worker II, you will perform duties in alignment with the organization's mission and vision and within the scope of the Department's services. This job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of comfort and cleanliness in the buildings and areas used by our patients, visitors, and staff. At all times, duties are performed conscientiously and safely and efficiently, taking ownership and responsibility for assigned areas and keeping customer expectations in mind. Performs floor care and carpet shampoo duties. Consistently completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Informs supervisor immediately of circumstances that may result in an inability to complete assigned work. Meets annual competency requirements before evaluation date. Able to complete at least 75% of the tasks and duties that are defined in the Environmental Service Worker Job Tasks.(Attached) More than 75% exceeds standards for job knowledge. Demonstrates satisfactory attendance and reliability. Has fewer than 4 occurrences of absence or tardiness each year. Less than 4 occurrences exceeds standards for attendance. Acquires knowledge relative to the healthcare Environmental Services field by attending all in-service sessions offered or by seeking out information from supervisors. Participates in meetings and contributes towards performance improvement efforts in the department and in the organization. Attains personal goals for performance improvement agreed upon in previous evaluations This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of environmental services required
  • 2 years of work experience in a hospital setting in environmental services required.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of work experience in a hospital setting with carpet shampoo and floor care machines in environmental services.

Responsibilities
