EVS Technician - Full-Time and Part-Time positions

About The Position

Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to ensure that all assigned areas of the hospital and/or the physician’s clinic are kept clean and sanitized in accordance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

Relevant previous experience preferred but on-the-job training provided.
High School or equivalent.
None required. (Cert. / Registration)

Responsibilities

Demonstrate the correct use of chemicals, supplies, and tools assigned.
Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
Clean and sanitize all surfaces in assigned areas.
Dust mop and wet mop all hard surface floors.
Vacuum all carpet areas.
Dust and clean tops of window, door frames, lights, vents, and other high areas, with the use of a ladder if necessary.
Clean all bathroom and utility room fixtures.
Clean windows and mirrors as needed.
Gather and dispose of trash and waste, placing in proper bags and containers.
Clean fans and other equipment when necessary.
Perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepare rooms for new occupants; follow isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
Replenish rooms with supplies by refilling paper towels and soap dispensers.
Replace sharp containers in wall units when full.
Move heavy furniture and equipment as required to perform cleaning duties.
Perform duties in the laundry department when assigned.
Keep housekeeping equipment and tools clean and maintained and report any need for repair or any damage to furniture, building, and fixtures to the maintenance staff.
Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings and attend any other meetings as required.
Work as on-call when deemed necessary by immediate supervisor.
Perform any additional tasks which may be assigned.
