About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within clinic facilities. This role ensures all patient care areas, offices, and common spaces meet established cleanliness and infection control standards to support high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred (especially in healthcare settings)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of patient exam rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection control guidelines
- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer
- Properly dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and recyclable materials following safety protocols
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all organizational policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards (OSHA, HIPAA as applicable)
- Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as needed
