About The Position
Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff at Shriners Hospital for Children, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-year Environmental services or laundry experience
Responsibilities
- Perform appropriate cleaning routine for scheduled areas as directed: cleans corners and baseboards, spot wipes walls, cleans interior and exterior windows of smudges.
- Bright work is clean and polished.
- Advanced floor care is performed including spray cleaning and buffing of all scheduled areas as directed, move furniture whenever possible.
- Supplies of disposables such as paper towels, soap, tissue and toilet paper are replenished daily.
- Has good knowledge of commonly used chemicals and cleaning supplies and uses proper mixing ratios indicated.
- Hospital Safety policies are followed, and unsafe conditions are reported to management.
- Equipment is operated, cleaned, handled and stored properly.
- Picks up soiled linen according to work schedule.
- Distributes clean linen to designated areas according to daily work schedule.
- Assists the Director with the ordering of all linen for the laundry department.
