Environmental Services Technician- CMC (Full Time) 1st Shift
About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician performs routine tasks in assigned areas, following a 7-Step cleaning process and the remaking of beds after disinfecting during discharge cleaning. This role also involves performing routine tasks in assigned areas and following a maintenance schedule for floors and carpets. The technician will clean fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork, floors, stairwells, interior windows, elevators/tracks, and exteriors of equipment. Responsibilities include emptying trash, wiping and relining containers, and operating a compactor if necessary. Additionally, the technician will replenish all disposable items such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels, and move and reset furnishings to their original locations after completing tasks. The role requires performing all methods of floor care, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing, and extraction, using specified equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to complete written forms
- Related experience preferred
- Requires continuous walking, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50-pounds; also pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing ladders that is generally inside.
- Contact with water and cleaning solution, potentially contaminated waste, including sharps and other bio-hazardous waste.
