About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. This is an onsite PRN role in Environmental Services at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado, working evenings. The schedule is listed as 0.00 hours per pay period (two weeks). Pay is $18.54–$24.10 per hour, depending on relevant experience. The position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. The technician must take appropriate action and perform assigned cleaning and supply tasks in accordance with facility procedures.

Requirements

No minimum education required.
No licensure or certification required.
No minimum experience required.
If applicable, hold BLS through the American Heart Association or CPR for the Professional Rescuer through the American Red Cross, with the card in hand before the start date; the card must remain valid through 60 days after hire.
Demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing surfaces.
Follow policies and procedures for patient isolation.
Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
Keep carts and equipment clean and in working condition, and store them in the appropriate area after the shift.
