About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking an Environmental Service Technician (EVS) / Housekeeper for their Chester, NJ location. This full-time position operates on a 7 AM - 3 PM schedule, including weekday and weekend shifts. The role is crucial in maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere within the hospital, directly contributing to patient recovery and visitor satisfaction by ensuring the cleanliness of various hospital areas. The compensation ranges from $19.30 to $24.47 per hour, based on experience, with an additional shift differential.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous Hospital EVS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Help provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere in our hospitals.
Play a key part in patient recovery and visitor satisfaction by keeping the halls, stations, waiting rooms, and patient rooms clean.
Assist in maintaining the quality and appearance of the physical plant by reporting repair issues and needs on a daily basis or as needed.
Keep floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as necessary.
Clean and polish all metal trim, furnishing, and/or equipment as necessary, as well as wash walls, windows, and beds as assigned.
Strip, wax, and buff floors as assigned using safety precautions to properly carry out the procedures.
Assist in moving furniture as requested.
Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, and toilet tissue, as well as other disposable items.
