About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of cleaning tasks in patient care areas, offices, and public spaces. This role is crucial in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring a positive healthcare experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Experience with floor care equipment (buffers, scrubbers).
Knowledge of infection control standards.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established protocols.
Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Respond to spills and biohazard cleanups as needed.
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
Follow all safety and infection control procedures.
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.
