About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking to hire an Environmental Services Technician (EST) for both full-time and part-time positions. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store to ensure a positive customer experience through housekeeping and janitorial duties. The full-time position involves a schedule of four 10-hour days, while the part-time position covers the remaining three 10-hour days of the week. Requirements

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to push, pull, lift up to 30lbs. with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, reach, and grasp throughout the work day.
• Ability to work in all types of conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
• Ability to physically process (both loading and unloading) donated items with or without accommodations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• One or more years of housekeeping, janitorial or custodian experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain store cleanliness.
• Dusting, mopping, sweeping, and polishing surfaces.
• Operate buffers and floor scrubbers.
• Manage trash removal and maintain cleanliness of bathrooms.
• Follow task outlines for all duties.
• Ensure work is performed in a safe and secure manner, complying with ISO regulations, company, and state policies.
• Work in various environmental conditions including heat, cold, and dust.
• Physically process donated items, including loading and unloading, with or without accommodations.
