About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for cleaning and servicing the hospital facility and other assigned areas on a routine basis to ensure a friendly environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role involves maintaining confidentiality, effective communication, and performing assigned duties efficiently and safely.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Light lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality, protecting patient information at all times.
Proactively answer telephone calls and offer assistance to all customers by telephone or in person.
Communicate effectively, writing and speaking clearly and concisely, affecting positive and efficient assistance to all requestors.
Perform required tasks and other duties as assigned, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Complete job duties in accordance with productivity requirements and quality standards.
Promptly report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel to order service as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Assemble and transport cleaning supplies, equipment, and other material to designated work areas in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
Maintain floors, walls, ceilings, windows, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
Process general/infectious waste and soiled linen in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
Operate all power equipment as dictated by work assignment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
Use equipment, supplies, and all other hospital property in a safe and economical manner.
Maintain environmental services equipment, storage rooms, and other materials at a high level of cleanliness and in good repair at all times.
