About The Position

Methodist Specialty Care Center is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Technician II to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, families, visitors, and staff. If you have housekeeping or environmental services experience and are comfortable performing floor care, carpet cleaning, trash removal, and other environmental services duties, we would like to hear from you!

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
At least 2 years of previous housekeeping or environmental services experience
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment

Responsibilities

Maintaining hard-surface floors and carpeted areas throughout the facility, including: Strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet floors and carpets
Perform floor maintenance in: Patient rooms, Offices, Boardrooms, Corridors, Lobbies and entrances, Stairwells, Cafeterias, Other public and common areas
Remove trash and dispose of waste appropriately
Collect and transport regulated medical waste according to facility procedures
Collect and transport soiled linen
Perform light maintenance and cleaning duties, such as cleaning inside light fixture covers and air-conditioning vents
Operate and move cleaning equipment and supplies safely
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout assigned areas
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
