About The Position

The Environmental Services Tech I maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of the hospital in accordance with Community Memorial Healthcare quality standards, as well as local, state and federal regulations. An essential daily job responsibility of an EVS Tech will be the cleaning of patient rooms for the hospital, including the possibility of cleaning COVID-19 patient rooms and/or possible contact with COVID-19. As Community Memorial Healthcare takes employee health and safety seriously, Community Memorial Healthcare EVS Department will provide Personal Protective Equipment - PPE (mask, gloves, etc.) along with education and training for all EVS Techs to keep hospital employees and patients, as well as the community safe.

Requirements

Ability to speak, read and write documents in English
Ability to understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS), pertaining to use and handling of chemicals
Ability to interact with patients, other customers, co-workers, and physicians in a courteous, service oriented manner

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Previous housekeeping, janitorial or related experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish
