About The Position

This is a PRN (as needed) evening Environmental Service position responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas for patients/residents, visitors, and associates by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines.

Requirements

Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required
Ability to use computer

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
Prior cleaning experience is helpful
Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful
Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred

Responsibilities

Emptying waste baskets
Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
Maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas
Following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines
Cleaning patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to meet health standards
Wearing proper protective equipment
Keeping storage, equipment, and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
Using pagers and other technology appropriately
Assisting in laundry areas as appropriate
Using technology applications depending on location and availability
