This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. The role involves cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas, proper disposal of infectious waste and trash, and handling emergency spills according to department guidelines, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards. It also requires adherence to all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position demands the ability to work independently, adapt to different situations and personalities, and remain motivated even when not directly supervised. It is a physically demanding job requiring constant standing/walking for 8 hours, bending, lifting, and good hand dexterity and vision.
