About The Position

Performs routine cleaning throughout units of Surgical Center. This role requires the ability to perform tasks such as speaking, writing, and spelling at a level normally performed by someone with a high school education. The position involves maintaining the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of the patient, participating in emergency drills, and adhering to all facility policies and procedures.

Requirements

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Must be able to perform tasks (e.g. speaking, writing, and spelling) at a level normally performed by someone with a high school education as demonstrated by past performance.

Nice To Haves

One-year experience in a hospital or medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms and corridors.
Prioritize work received and complete in a timely manner.
Performs other work duties and assignments as required.
Assume responsibility for own actions and behaviors.
Maintains the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of the patient.
Participates in the OSC emergency, fire, and disaster drills.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
Follows all OSC Policies and Procedures.
Attends required in-services and educational programs.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
