About The Position

Wellfound is hiring a night shift Environmental Services Tech to join our team. This is a 30 hours per week position, with three 10-hour shifts from 8:00 PM-6:30 AM and rotating weekends. Must be able to work all days of the week. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. As an Environmental Services tech, you will assist where necessary in order to provide the hospital with a clean and sanitary environment, including patient care areas, administrative areas, and floors.

Requirements

Must have effective oral / written English communication skills in order to perform job.
Ability to independently utilize a computer and enter data multiple times per day
High school diploma or equivalent
Heart Saver through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience in environmental services in a healthcare or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Use appropriate cleaning techniques, supplies, and safety precautions in cleaning assigned area and equipment.
Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge for all infection control policies and procedures required to maintain the patient care environment.
Dispose of all medical waste, (regular, recyclable, and regulated) appropriately. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for correct waste segregation.
Use computer to update EPIC as primary tool for tracking of individual progress of all work completed throughout the day.
Work closely with other staff to obtain or provide routine information, submit work orders, request supplies, and schedule maintenance work.
