Requirements

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors, strictly following established departmental procedures and standards.
• Perform cleaning duties with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure all areas meet hygiene and safety requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and other staff members.
• Possess a strong work ethic.
• Thorough attention to cleanliness and safety.
• Excellent customer service skills, contributing to a secure and welcoming hospital environment.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Previous healthcare experience

Responsibilities

• Perform 6 step daily cleaning procedure in patient room to a level acceptable to the patient.
• Perform checkout cleaning procedure in patient room according to departmental policies and procedures, including medical equipment.
• Perform intensive cleaning procedures in specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Surgery and Pharmacy to a level acceptable that eliminates the risk of infection to the patient.
• Removes and transports soiled linens, trash, infectious waste and recycling according to departmental policy and procedures.
• Prioritize assisting customers above all other duties.
• When cleaning an occupied room the Environmental Services Worker will follow organizational customer service script.
