About The Position
The EVS Tech cleans and maintains assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, according to established procedures. This position provides services necessary to prevent cross-contamination and the spread of infection between patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- Ability to operate floor care machinery and other cleaning machines safely
- Properly collect and dispose of regular trash, regulated medical waste and soiled linens
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of environmental services experience in a hospital setting
- Floor Maintenance experience
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of activities to clean assigned areas in patient rooms, operating rooms, pre-op/recovery rooms, and/or common areas of the hospital, according to established procedures
- Completes assignments in an efficient manner while maintaining a high standard of work, ensuring the established guidelines and practices are met
- Utilizes proper knowledge of safety, hospital codes and infection control measures according to established departmental guidelines
- Demonstrates the ability to operate floor care machinery and other cleaning machines safely
- Properly collect and dispose of regular trash, regulated medical waste and soiled linens
