About The Position

The Environmental Services Tech is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. This includes sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets, dusting furniture and equipment, and cleaning fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms. The role also involves cleaning windows, walls, and restrooms, stocking supplies, removing trash and bio-hazard materials, and notifying supervisors of needed repairs. Additionally, the position may assist with Laundry Tech Linen Handler and Utility Tech functions, and requires participation in educational programs and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors.
• Vacuums and spot cleans carpets.
• Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment, and dust mops floors.
• Polishes and cleans fixtures in utility room and bathrooms.
• Cleans fixtures, equipment, windows, walls, rest rooms, etc.
• Stocks supplies in rest rooms as needed.
• Removes solid linens, trash, bio-hazard from collection areas.
• Notifies supervisor regarding needed repairs.
• Submits supply order sheets on a weekly basis.
• Gathers and disposes trash and waste materials.
• Assist and perform Laundry Tech Linen Handler functions as needed.
• Assist and perform Utility Tech functions as needed.
• Participates in educational programs and in-services.
• Attends meetings as required.
