PRN positions not eligible for TriHealth benefits   Job Overview: Under the direct supervision of the floor supervisor, this position is responsible for the maintenance of all hard surface floors, carpet. Also responsible for wall washing, ceiling vents, lights, waste removal, and will be responsible for moving furniture, equipment, and room set ups, and other projects as assigned. These tasks are routinely completed daily or as needed.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years experience in a related field (Required)
  • Knowledge of all equipment used and skills necessary to perform assigned tasks
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned tasks for periodic housekeeping as directed following departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to washing walls, cleaning windows, screens, blinds, cleaning and re-hanging draperies, cubicles and privacy curtains, cleaning air conditioners, vents, lights, cleans elevators and completes other projects as assigned.
  • Completes assigned tasks related to house calls in a responsible manner as directed in accordance with department policies and procedures as listed but not limited to replacing burnt out lights, exchanging beds and mattresses, moving furniture and assisting in set ups. Responsible for taking down and re-hanging draperies and cubicles, and cleaning all equipment used in the completion of the tasks.
  • Completes assignments within specified timeframes and informs the supervisor of need for deviation from assignments or schedules, seeking additional assignments when free time is available. Follows established schedule for lunch times and breaks.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned so that the finished product is consistent with the level of performance defined in all other department standards.
  • Follows established schedule for the transport and disposal of solid and infectious waste following department policies and procedures while maintaining a clean environment -chute rooms- and clean equipment -gondolas-.
  • Procedures for floor care are completed in a responsible manner including but not limited to dust/wet mopping, rinsing, stripping and refinishing, buffing, carpet shampooing and extraction, operation and maintenance of the flo0or care equipment, detailing corners and coves, using the appropriate products and adhering to necessary safety precautions.
