About The Position

This role involves adhering to safety regulations and best practices while performing cleaning duties in various hospital areas. The technician will follow instructions, maintain professional conduct, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, common areas, and specialty areas according to infection control standards, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Completes annual educational requirements within the assigned time frame.
• Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and Joint Commission regulations related to their department and, as appropriate, to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines regarding safety regulations and best practices when utilizing cleaning equipment, handling chemicals, and disposing of various types of waste.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with precision.
• Maintain professional standards of conduct and teamwork.
• Complete annual educational requirements within the assigned time frame.
• Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and Joint Commission regulations related to the department and, as appropriate, to the hospital.
