As Team Lead, you will work to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect by ensuring all assigned facility areas are clean, fully stocked and organized. Your efforts help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and assist other caregivers in providing attentive patient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in an environmental services or housekeeping role with strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with others through teamwork
  • Require attention to detail, follow directions, and work with minimal supervision
  • Provide direction on departmental policies and procedures, various cleaning and patient hospitality techniques, and the proper use and storage of cleaning agents, chemicals, and cleaning equipment
  • Communicate in a clear, courteous, and caring manner
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume cleaning environment
  • Remain flexible and adapts to changing work assignments

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures.
  • Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.
  • Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.
  • Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
  • Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
