About The Position

Hospitality Health ER is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor (EVS) to lead their EVS team in maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming, and patient-centered environment. This position is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, developing team members, and holding staff accountable to expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role where the candidate will be comfortable coaching employees, conducting quality inspections, addressing performance concerns, and supporting the team. Success requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, operational awareness, and a commitment to excellence. Opportunities are available at both Longview and Tyler facilities.

Requirements

  • Previous EVS, housekeeping, hospitality, or environmental services experience
  • Prior supervisory, lead, or management experience
  • Ability to coach, develop, and hold employees accountable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Healthcare environmental services experience
  • Knowledge of infection prevention standards
  • Experience leading teams in a hospital, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality environment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop EVS team members
  • Conduct routine rounding, inspections, and quality audits
  • Provide real-time coaching and performance feedback
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
  • Address attendance, performance, and policy concerns promptly
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence
  • Coordinate daily staffing assignments and workflow
  • Ensure patient rooms, public areas, and support spaces meet cleanliness standards
  • Adjust priorities based on facility needs, patient census, and operational demands
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and departmental communication
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to address operational concerns
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and cleaning protocols
  • Monitor completion of cleaning logs, inspections, and required documentation
  • Identify and report maintenance, safety, and supply concerns
  • Maintain inventory awareness and communicate supply needs
  • Support investigations and corrective action processes as needed
