We are seeking a 2nd shift Environmental Services Supervisor at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, MS.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in the janitorial/housekeeping industry required
Customer service skills
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.
Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Assist in the supervision of an assigned hospital Environmental Services Department under the direction and guidance of the Environmental Services Department Director.
Establish and enforce work standards in conjunction with the Department Director.
Monitor overall inventory/equipment usage.
Problem solve and train Department Staff.
Handle customer relations.
Perform special project work as requested.
Prepare to assume and support operational duties of a department through hands-on training under the direction of an experienced Department Director.
Participate in all in-services for Environmental Services Department.
Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory as well as general use of equipment.
Ensure that staff receives proper initial training in assigned areas and tasks.
Provide individual guidance and motivation to staff to enable each one to perform to his/her fullest potential.
Maintain an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and orderly condition.
Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
