About The Position

This is a full-time, second shift position for an Environmental Services Specialist. The hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, working four weekdays and every other weekend. The role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks within a hospital setting, requiring knowledge of cleaning chemicals, PPE, equipment operation, and spill response. Effective communication and the ability to work independently are essential.

Requirements

Must be knowledgeable of floor care processes and procedures.
Must be knowledgeable of floor care chemical use and be proficient with floor care equipment.
Must possess the ability to work unsupervised.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
Must be able to listen and follow directions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED certificate, preferred.
One year experience.

Responsibilities

Properly setting up cleaning cart with proper cleaning chemicals and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Collecting needed equipment and wet floor signs to accomplish tasks and projects.
Cleaning assigned patient rooms, clinical areas, non-clinical areas, diagnostic areas, office areas and corridors of the hospital.
Completing assigned floor care projects to include mopping, sweeping, stripping, waxing and buffing.
Properly cleaning and storing all equipment after each use.
Operator's maintenance on equipment and reporting of equipment needing repair or scheduled maintenance.
Recharging equipment.
Knowledgeable of spill kit use for cleaning up chemical spills, blood and other body fluid.
Knowledgeable of proper chemical use at recommended dilution rates.
Moving furniture, equipment and other items to complete assigned project work.
Storing supplies in the supply room and on tower floors as assigned.
Assisting engineering with environmental clean ups, construction clean up and other off-site projects assigned by manager and/or supervisors.
