Requirements

  • Valid PA Driver's License
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation practices, infection prevention, and safe use of cleaning equipment and products.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, courteous approach to residents, visitors, and team members.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Willingness and ability to follow universal precautions and PPE requirements due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare cleaning is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain A Clean, Safe Environment: Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including resident care areas, offices, public spaces, restrooms, corridors, and support areas, following established standards and infection prevention protocols.
  • Support Events & Room Setups: Set up, arrange, and break down rooms, furniture, equipment, and supplies for meetings, training sessions, community events, and special functions. Ensure spaces are clean, properly configured, and ready for use.
  • Coordinate Room Turnover: Work with event organizers, facility users, and departments to support event logistics, safely relocate furnishings and equipment, and restore spaces to standard configurations following events.
  • Handle Waste & Environmental Services: Collect, transport, and dispose of regular, recyclable, and regulated waste according to facility procedures.
  • Perform Floor & Surface Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff, and spot-clean floors while routinely cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces, equipment, and common areas.
  • Keep Supplies Stocked: Replenish housekeeping and personal care supplies, including soap, paper products, hand sanitizer, and other essential items.
  • Provide Facility Support: Transport linens, equipment, supplies, furniture, and other materials throughout the campus and assist with moves, special projects, and event-related needs.
  • Respond to Urgent Needs: Promptly address spills, biohazard incidents, and emergency cleaning requests while following appropriate safety and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain Equipment & Safety Standards: Properly maintain and store cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals, and promptly report maintenance, safety, damage, or environmental concerns.
  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Interact with residents, visitors, staff, and vendors in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner while contributing to a positive campus environment.
