About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Manager for the second shift. The role assists in directing and overseeing the department’s support-services operations, coordinates frontline associates’ work, and acts as a liaison between administration and unit departments to provide a high level of service. The manager oversees staffing and work procedures, supervises and develops staff, supports hiring and training, conducts inspections and reporting, and coordinates outside services.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of support services, military, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a support-services-related field with high customer or client contact.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral presentations.
• Ability to multitask and establish priorities.
• Ability to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment.
• Initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
• Thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.
• Ability to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all staff.
• Plan work and staffing schedules and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new associates.
• Orient, develop, and supervise supervisory and housekeeping staff.
• Conduct regular inspections and make recommendations to the facility.
• Conduct monthly reporting on goals, accomplishments, and future plans.
• Provide staff education and continuous training.
• Communicate with staff, administration, and other departments.
• Coordinate outside services, including pest control, window cleaning, medical and solid waste, document destruction, and recycling.
