About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the clean and safe environment of Immanuel Living, by using proper cleaning techniques; ensure that Immanuel Living’s residents’ and business laundry needs are met; and ensure that supplies are ordered and distributed throughout the facilities. This role involves overseeing the efficient and quality operations of the Laundry and Housekeeping departments, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and applicable safety requirements. The manager will also be responsible for managing budgets, environmental impacts, grease traps, flooring projects, room moves, and working with outside vendors. Additionally, the position involves supervisory duties such as training, evaluating staff, and ensuring compliance with corporate and OSHA programs. Effective documentation and communication with residents, families, staff, and agencies are crucial.

Requirements

  • Drivers License Class D (regular license) and clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work under time and/or deadline pressures and frequent interruptions.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the clean and safe environment of Immanuel Living using proper cleaning techniques.
  • Ensure residents' and business laundry needs are met.
  • Ensure supplies are ordered and distributed throughout the facilities.
  • Oversee the efficient and quality operations of the Laundry and Housekeeping departments.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards (except for Blood-borne Pathogens Standard).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Facility, State, and Federal safety requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance functions, including compliance rounds.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emergency and disaster procedures.
  • Develop and oversee Laundry and Housekeeping budgets.
  • Monitor expenses and stay within budget.
  • Contact outside contractors for required work and follow up on completion.
  • Manage all environmental impacts inside & outside facility.
  • Manage all grease traps.
  • Maintain compliance with the City of Kalispell.
  • Help manage Room flips campus wide with maintenance manager.
  • Manage & oversee all flooring projects.
  • Manage & organize all room moves.
  • Work with outside vendors.
  • Manage Department Supply orders.
  • Interface with Directors of all departments.
  • Assist with Housekeeping and Laundry duties as necessary.
  • Orient, train, and evaluate Housekeeping and Laundry staff performance.
  • Verify that Laundry and Housekeeping staff receive required orientation, training, and evaluation.
  • Arrange for department-specific and individual employee training.
  • Conduct employment performance evaluations for Housekeeping and Laundry staff.
  • Ensure that Laundry and Housekeeping staff are complying with all Corporate and OSHA compliance programs.
  • Develop staffing schedule that assures sufficient numbers of personnel to meet resident and Facility needs.
  • Review department schedules.
  • Verify compliance of required documentation and record-keeping of Laundry and Housekeeping activities.
  • Communicate with supervisor and participate in training and/or meetings.
  • Communicate with others in a considerate manner.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with residents, families, staff members, Administration, representatives of the community and government agencies.
