About The Position
Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as an Environmental Services Manager in Training. This structured, paid 12-week program provides hands-on and computer-based training to prepare you to manage an account and oversee housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations at a long-term care facility. The role supports environmental services in a healthcare setting and focuses on excellence and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The position assists with managing and supervising environmental services staff, learning applicable compliance requirements, and participating in staff training, development, and scheduling. It also involves maintaining operational records and communicating between building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff. Residency within the service area is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Computer skills, including the ability to maintain records and complete required reports, including web-based reporting.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
- Able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and supervising housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff.
- Learn to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
- Participate in staff training, development, and scheduling.
- Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
- Act as a liaison between building occupants or administrators and HCSG staff, effectively communicating directives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
