Lead team members of an assigned area or function by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities. The Lead Technician will be responsible for training all new technicians and orienting them to the hospital landscape. This role involves performing responsibilities of the underlying job, taking responsibility for, or providing guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues. The Lead Technician will assist with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving. Additionally, this role provides mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in productivity and quality management, and serves as a positive role model to promote teamwork and cooperation. Assistance with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures is also a key function.
