As an Environmental Services Floor Technician, you will help create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. This role is a great steppingstone to other careers within Environmental Services and departments within Cleveland Clinic. A caregiver in this position works evenings from 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Requirements

Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching.
Requires continuous walking and standing on hard surfaces.
Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
Light work – Exerting 11 to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Responsibilities

Create a sanitary, safe environment and enhance the appearance of the facility.
Clean assigned areas daily.
Maintain hard floor surfaces by stripping, refinishing, mopping, buffing and auto-scrubbing.
Maintain carpets with shampoo, extraction, gum removal and daily maintenance.
Complete waste stream removal, general waste, recycling, infectious waste, etc.
