About The Position

Performs a variety of tasks including operating the UV disinfection machine in all areas to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates. Must comply with all requirements for infection control, safety, and cleanliness as mandated by JCAHO, OSHA, DOH, and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent
• 1 to 5 years previous work experience
• Previous computer experience

Nice To Haves

• Knowledgeable of procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, Disinfection and safety.
• Can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operates the UV disinfection machine in all areas to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates.
• Complies with all requirements for infection control, safety, and cleanliness as mandated by JCAHO, OSHA, DOH, and other regulatory agencies.
• Cleans and disinfects medical equipment used for patient care and treatment.
• Organizes cleaning duties and prioritizes work to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
• Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
• Guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
