Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, building operations, housekeeping, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, structural repairs, HVAC systems, and general maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with applicable regulations, safety standards, and proper handling of biohazardous waste.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and report unusual conditions to the Executive Director.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance, including light electrical, painting, carpentry, HVAC operation, and equipment repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety, compliance, and resident comfort.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, OSHA, fire safety, and assisted living/memory care regulations.
  • Monitor safety programs, emergency systems, MSDS documentation, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of the community, including common areas, furniture setup, and event support.
  • Manage department budgets, invoices, purchased services, and overtime usage.
  • Supervise contractors, maintenance, and housekeeping staff to ensure quality performance.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate department employees.
  • Conduct staff meetings, training sessions, and annual performance reviews.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and complete required documentation and reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
