About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an evening Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 3 for Erlanger Medical in Chattanooga, TN overseeing a team of 45 and reporting to the Client Executive. This role will manage Sodexo's Surgical Services cleaning and disinfection program, while managing a team of Surgical Cleaning Technicians within the Erlanger Health System to include 3 sites - Erlanger Baroness, Erlanger East and Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Murphy, NC. Responsible for inspection of 40+ OR suites, clean rooms, documenting and tracking the cleaning process and reporting to administration results. Prior Environmental Services/housekeeping experience is required, must be results driven, understand employee engagement, and be committed to a winning culture. This is an evening shift position (approximately 2PM-10:30PM), some weekends and holidays required. Requirements

  • Prior Environmental Services/housekeeping experience is required.

  • 3-5 years previous custodial or housekeeping director level experience preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Management Experience - 3 years.
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Sodexo's Surgical Services cleaning and disinfection program.
  • Manage a team of Surgical Cleaning Technicians.
  • Inspect 40+ OR suites and clean rooms.
  • Document and track the cleaning process.
  • Report cleaning process results to administration.
  • Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Work closely with the Infectious Control department.
  • Partner with the Environment of Care Committee, Infection Prevention Director, and other key members of hospital leadership.
  • Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Develop and motivate a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system.
  • Build and maintain strong customer/client relationships.
  • Drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion.
  • Analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management.
  • Effectively manage projects within agreed upon timelines.
