About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Manager 2 for UNC REX Healthcare located in Raleigh, NC. This role will oversee a team of 25-30 on 2nd Shift (2:30pm start time) with some oversight of 3rd shift as needed (5pm). This role has a second shift rotating weekend with some holiday coverage. UNC REX is a 500-bed, 1 million square foot healthcare facility that operates within the UNC Health system. The Environmental Services Department oversees 150+ team members across 3 shifts. This role will support all aspects of custodial services including outpatient and Cath Lab cleaning and floorcare, along with payroll, hiring, and scheduling among other duties. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and a high level of energy and accountability. Sodexo is seeking a true self-starter who can lead a team under minimal supervision. Our Sodexo Health Care Environmental Services/Housekeeping teams work to direct housekeeping operations at health care client locations, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions.

Requirements

3-5 years previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience.
Proficient with computers and other technology.
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish.
Experience in Environmental Services, Hotels housekeeping and/or Custodial Services.
Military service.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Oversee a team of 25-30 on 2nd Shift with some oversight of 3rd shift.
Support all aspects of custodial services including outpatient and Cath Lab cleaning and floorcare.
Manage payroll, hiring, and scheduling.
Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Work closely with the Infectious Control department.
Work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director.
Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.
Support an inclusive workforce.
Manage projects within agreed upon timelines.
Manage vendors and contracts.
Manage union and contract negotiations.
