The Environmental Services Colleague is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining an assigned area in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. This includes setting up event and conference rooms. Key duties involve making timely rounds to pick up soiled, infectious waste, reusable patient care equipment, and instruments. The role also requires segregating these items to their respective holding areas and cleaning and reprocessing equipment and other reusable patient care items. Additionally, the colleague is responsible for the proper transporting and handling of hazardous chemicals to the designated storage area.
