About The Position

The Public Safety Division is hiring a seasonal Environmental Services Attendant to help protect water quality in the Park and mitigate environmental impacts. The position ensures that water entering storm drains meets quality expectations, drains remain clean, spills are cleaned up, and environmental impact mitigation processes are in place and addressed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a State Driver’s License in good standing at all times.
Strong self-motivation, work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in direct sun, heat, rain, and other environmental conditions.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Ability to follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and use proper personal protective equipment when handling chemicals.
Must be available to work days, nights, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Prepare and conduct water quality sampling and testing.
Clean outdoor fresh water drains and channels of leaves and debris.
Conduct environmental audits, including checks of secondary containment and spill containment kits.
Maintain spill-control supplies and inventory.
Respond to spills and leaks throughout the Park.
Observe and report suspicious activity or non-compliance to Public Safety supervision or management.
Communicate information clearly, promptly, and productively to supervision or management.
Provide excellent service and assist guests and fellow team members with directions or questions.
Maintain a high level of privacy and confidentiality.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, goggles, and masks, when handling chemicals.
Perform other duties to support the Park at the discretion of Public Safety supervision or management.
