About The Position

Join the Woodcrest team as an Environmental Services Attendant and make a daily impact by helping maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for tenants, employees, and volunteers. This role combines environmental services support with light maintenance and scheduling responsibilities to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a part-time position (approximately 40 hours every 2 weeks) with the potential to become full-time.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred (but not required), including knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, supplies, infection control, and safe chemical handling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Light maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing housekeeping duties including disinfecting, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, furniture organization, and cleaning walls, mirrors, and floors while supporting Woodcrest’s Hometown Culture.
  • Properly use and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Keep work areas and utility rooms neat, organized, and safe.
  • Report needed repairs and facility improvements to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, employees, and visitors through professionalism, patience, and excellent customer service.
  • Refer resident medical or personal care concerns to the nurse in charge.
  • Complete assigned daily duties, special projects, and light maintenance tasks, including tracking maintenance time.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.
