Requirements

  • Reliable and dependable work ethic.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to operate floor maintenance equipment.
  • Able to perform essential duties that require physical work, lifting and pulling.
  • Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods (regular work shift is eight hours).
  • Ability to climb a six-foot ladder;
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, such as sanitizers, disinfectants and aerosols.
  • Able to perform repetitive duties throughout a shift (polishing slot machines, cleaning washrooms, vacuuming).
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Demonstrate accountability and follow through on commitments.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals, techniques and uses an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and/or cohesively with a team while promoting good employee relations with co-workers.
  • Previous housekeeping, environmental service or cleaning experience an asset.
  • Committed to learning and maintaining knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains all assigned areas in an effective, responsible and appropriate manner.
  • Cleans and keep all public and non-public areas in an orderly and attractive manner.
  • Works with a scheduled system of assigned duties.
  • Ensures all products and equipment are carefully accounted for and properly stored.
  • Completes accurate inspection reports on equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Remains current and familiar with all cleaning chemicals and their uses.
  • Maintains a professional appearance as per company grooming policy.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism, positive demeanor and service etiquette.
  • Provides superior customer service and maintains excellent employee relations.
  • Understands and follows safety and emergency procedures and complies with Hotel and Casino policies and procedures.
